By: Peter "Coach Big Pete" Leinweber

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Jalen Bea how was your sophomore season? It was OK for my first-time playing varsity and starting all eight games it was a lot, but it was fun. What should college coaches know about you? I’m a hard-working individual that LOVES to compete. I work and work and put in extra time to be great What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strangest trait is the ability to read a field and make a read and put the ball on the spot, using my legs as a threat and my arm makes it hard for a team to contain and hold me. What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason? My speed, foot work, and the ability to throw the ball more accurately with throw it deep

What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? This off-season I want to become the best version of myself on and off the field

Who else on Christ The King should I keep an eye out for? My team and group of guys are the best group of guys I’ve played with they are hardworking and dedicated to making Christ The King a good football school. And standout guys too look from my school is upcoming sophomore Matthew Harland (Class of 25) Damari Dawson (Class of 23) And Jatwan Chandler (Class of 23). Our motto is “bloodied but never ever unbowed” and I will always be a student before I am an athlete.

What is your favorite route to throw to? Fly routes because I can show my arm talent and accuracy with deep routes and skinny post for the same reason.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting

But About The Love Of The Game Of IHSA Football
