Coach Big Pete's Illinois Recruits That Are Ready Explode On The Recruiting Scene Classes Of 24'-25'

By: Peter "Coach Big Pete" Leinweber

So here are my Illinois Recruits That Are Ready Explode On The Recruiting Scene Classes Of 2024 & 2025. I consider these recruits that are going to explode on the Illinois recruiting scene late this summer going into the fall. Also have included some recruits who have offers but are still ready for a huge storm of offers to come their way. Really think these group of top recruits could be huge names in the coming months of recruiting for the state of Illinois. This is coming from my scouting notes and just talk around the college coaches circle during this 2022 camp season. College Coaches if you need more info, please email me or DM me. Logan Malachuk QB Nazareth 6'0 175 Class of 25' TWITTER HUDL

Logan has been the talk of a lot of coaches during this summer camp season. Malachuk is seen as huge fall player to look out for from college coaches' perspective. He is on the fringe of getting his first offer and he deserves it. Took the CCL/ESCC by storm last fall and his growth will be a thing to watch. Great ability off of his mobile throws and not to mention fits plenty offensive schemes.

Javius Catlin RB Rockford East 5'8 150 Class of 24' TWITTER

HUDL

Small shifty all-purpose back that really excites college coaches with the spread hybrid offense option. Javius could be one of the biggest steals in the state of Illinois that you need to know about. Reminds a lot of coaches of former Nazareth star recruit Michael Love.

Ben Starmann LB Glenbard West 6'2 200 Class of 24' TWITTER

HUDL

Could be the next big Hitter linebacker out of Glenbard West. Already identified by College Coaches as a wait see recruit for this coming fall. Ben blitzes like a senior and hits with no remorse. Quick to the shuffle and nice pursuit. Still very raw in some of his game and looking forward to seeing his movement when hits the varsity level.

Cael Brezina LB/DB Downers Grove North 6'2 200 Class of 24' TWITTER HUDL

Mr. Brezina was the talk at North Central Camp and will continue his success this fall for the Trojans. Could be another top defender in DuPage County, and that is say a lot. Multipurpose defender that you need to see that fights off blockers. Show great recognition skills as a defender and makes plays.

Matt Lawson RB/WR Elgin 5'10 180 Class of 24' TWITTER HUDL

Lawson has been on fire lately during the camp season and only keeps getting better. Matt could be Top 30 recruit by the end of his junior season. Has a great center to low gravity when taking the handoff and pillow hands. One of the most asked about recruits this season from college coaches at camps.

John Behmer DE Rockford Lutheran 6'3 175 Class of 25' TWITTER HUDL

Big time defensive end that can be used in multiple defenses. John has been the talk of Illinois and name you must know. Hand technique is far advanced for incoming sophomore. Still very raw on foot placement and growing but a name to watch along this fall into the winter.

Mark Helm OL Glenwood 6'5 250 Class of 24' HUDL

One of the most talked about offensive linemen that you need to know about this upcoming season. Athletic for OL and can create a path for the ball carrier. Great job mirroring with his quick lateral movements. WATCH OUT FOR THIS KID FROM CENTRAL ILLINOIS!!! Deserves to be talked about and can hit the national spotlight by this late summer.

Jacob Bell QB Naperville North Class of 25' TWITTER HUDL

Next big Huskie QB that will take over for Gray in the 2023 season. Jacob has proven his worth all over camps and spring going into the summer. I'm sort of tired writing about this kid to be honest, lol. One of the most talked about 2025 QBs in college coach's circles. Does a wonderful job of extending plays and identifying the outside pressure.

Miles Cremascoli ATH New Trier 6'3 203 Class of 24' TWITTER HUDL

Miles has impressed a lot of college coaches going into June and his athletic ability is off the charts. Tremendous flexibility and good range with his hand make Miles a can't miss recruit. Could be a major fall riser as soon as October comes around. New Trier has stud that deserves to be talked about more.

Jacob Jansey LB Batavia 6'0 205 Class of 25' TWITTER HUDL

Bad news DuKane Conference there is another Jansey on the way and he is good. Strong athletic ability and can stop the play like no one's business. Takes great angles to get the tackle and avoid getting held up in the trenches. Still growing and raw with his reads and plays a little offense.

Talen Tate DB 5'9 182 DeKalb Class of 24' TWITTER HUDL

Incredible with his back pedal and ability to switch his footing. Great hip tracing and not to mention loves to make a play when reading the QB eyes. Name you must know and will be a chart riser this fall into the winter.

Ethan Aghakhan ER Stevenson 6'2 239 Class of 24' TWITTER HUDL

Could be the next big time pass rusher out of the North Suburban Conference. Highly skilled in his arm fighting to make a huge sack or getting that big stop. Quick nimble feet for kid that is still growing into his body.

Deuce Thornton OL Peoria 6'3 251 Class of 25' TWITTER HUDL

Deuce has been of the most talked about Cental Illinois recruits for the Class of 2025 this whole camp season and continues to rise up the charts. Leverage and aggressiveness are what makes this kid a special recruit.

Michael Prokos WR Crystal Lake South 6'0 170 Class of 24' TWITTER HUDL

Big time playmaker up north, and this time it's a skill player. Prokos continues to impress college coaches and will only get better. Growth in his separation will be a thing to watch. Puts his body out for catches and not afraid to do the small things that matter themost.
