How did your sophomore season go?
It went how I imagined it to be. I played on varsity and JV. It could’ve been better; I still have work to do.
What do you think are your strengths as a linebacker on the field?
The way I can read plays and shed blocks. I know how to play linebacker like the back of my hand.
How do you prepare for games both mentally and physically?
Mentally I listen to music, I speak to my pops, and take deep breaths because I’m nervous every game so it calms me down. Physically, I eat and stretch.
What do you believe sets you apart from other linebackers in your class?
To be honest, it’s how humble I am. I think outside the box on and off the field and my work ethic. I know if I don’t put the work in, someone else is.
What are your goals for this upcoming season and for your high school football career in general?
To get an offer and to be able to play college football.
How is your GPA and How do you balance academics and athletics as a student-athlete?
My GPA is 2.9. I do well, I just procrastinate at times. this year I’m going to lock in and have at least a 3.0.
Can you talk about a time when you had to overcome adversity on or off the field and how it shaped you as a player and a person?
That's an excellent question. I've come to realize that my life used to lack consistency, but now it is consistently stable.
Who is your biggest inspiration or role model in football and why?
Bucky Irving. He came from Chicago and he made in the NFL. Because of him, I believe I can do it too.
What do you want college coaches to know about you?
I will want to face any team or opponent that comes my way, I'm ready for any challenge.
