Nate Kraus how was your Spring Season? It was alright I didn’t play much due to Luke Davies the senior QB, but I learned a lot from him and he helped me learn the offense and helped me with the plays to prepare me for this season. What does football mean to you? It means a lot it’s really just fun to me and I love to get on the field with the guys I’ve grown up with and play some football. I love the energy and how the community all comes together especially Yorkville to support the team and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Football is just something I have looked forward to all year since I was little. What do you like about playing QB? I like having control of what happens and being able have a big impact on the game. I love that every play I could either pass, run, or hand the ball off and it’s always something different. Lastly I love the pressure that is put on me and the challenge to overcome it. What should college coaches know about you? I feel like college coaches should know that I am a three sport athlete. And a QB who can run the ball, pass the ball, and even play multiple positions. I feel like coaches should know that I do everything I can for the team and to help the team succeed. What goals do you have for yourself this season? My goals for the season are to most of all have fun and enjoy myself because I always play better when I don’t think and have fun. My overall goal are to obviously win every game and to continue winning after the regular season. That’s my goal because to me setting a goal just to make playoffs or go undefeated during the regular season doesn’t make sense to me because why not try to win every game you play during the season and post season. I also want to say that I really appreciate my linemen this year. They are going to contribute a lot to the team this year and not get as much credit as they should. We got a really solid line.
