Jack Byrnes how was your junior season?My junior season was unlike no other before. I have learned a lot throughout the last year season which has made helped make me the player I am. As a team we achieved something that hadn’t been done ever in are school history.What does football mean to you?Football to me means more than game. In season football was always the highlight of my day where I could spend 2-3 hours doing what I enjoy.What should college coaches know about you?A college should know that there is more to me than football. School and academics have always been valued higher in my life, and I plan to work as hard as I do on the field in my academics.What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?On the football field, my strongest trait is my speed of the ball and rush/securing the edge.What do you like about playing in the trenches?What I like most about being in the trenches is the physicality and quickness of the game. You have little time to react well, trying to run through the man in front of you.How good can this St. Ignatius defensive line be for the upcoming season?The defensive line next year can be a threat to every team in our schedule. Are defense as a whole is going to be a problem for teams.What should incoming freshmen players know about the St. Ignatuis football program?Any underclassman considering Ignatius should be aware that you will be getting an education at one of the top schools in the state and will be entering into a rising program where you can be a part of a team that strives for the best on and off the field.
