Joey Ayala how was your junior season? My junior season went very well. I began the season as a second-string DE and by week 3 I had earned the starting position. I led the team with 13 sacks while also earning all-conference. What does football mean to you? I’ve been playing football since I was about 4 years old. Football has always been that puzzle piece that fit no matter how you put it. It’s more than a sport to me, it’s a part of me and my life and I don’t know where I’d be without it. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I am one of the hardest working people you’ll see. I push myself to reach a point that others don’t get to. Not only that, but I am a leader and a person you can look up to no matter the situation. I like to have teammates follow my lead so I can help them improve themselves and succeed as much as possible. What schools have you talked to so far? Some schools that I’ve talked to so far is University of Syracuse, University of Wyoming, Eastern Michigan University, North Dakota State University, and Murray State. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel like my strongest trait on the field is my speed and length. It gives me the opportunity to get a step ahead of the offensive linemen and create separation to make a play in the backfield or on the line of scrimmage.

What game are you most looking forward to next season? I’m most looking forward to another matchup vs Lake Forest. It’s going to be a real hard-fought game between two very talented teams. I believe with the talent both teams have this game is going to come down to who wants it more. The most discipline and fundamentally sound team is going to come out on top.
