Matt Marek Sandburg OL Class Of 2025 6'5 270

Matt Marek how was your sophomore season? I feel personally I had a pretty good season. As a team it didn’t go as we planned but we are going to make improvements. I started a little slow getting used to the speed, but I ended the season well. What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me it’s mostly about the family and the relationships I make with my team. It not only helps me just by making me a better player each day but it helps teach me valuable lesson. What should college coaches know about you? They should know that I am the hardest worker in the room and I leave it all on the field. I am very coachable and will do anything I have to do to help my team. What do you like about playing in the trenches? I like the nastiness and aggression on every play being able to go head-to-head with the defensive line every play. I think that it is the most important part of the team having a good line that works together. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel my aggression is my strong point and I’m never intimidated by any opponent. Who on Sandburg had a breakout season this season? Charlie Snoreck had a great season as well he is also a sophomore starting up on varsity and Zach Barrett our left tackle. What goals do you have for yourself next season? One of my personal goals is to get that first offer and I want to do everything in my power to help my team win state that’s the big goal.
