Chatting With Plainfield North OL Tyler Tortorich Class Of 2023

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Tyler Tortorich Plainfield North OL Class of 2023 6'2 280

Tyler Tortorich how was your junior season? It was great! I started at right tackle and had a great year for myself! Went up against some big time defensive end recruits and played well against them. We went 8-3 on the season and won conference! However we lost to Maine South in the second round of the playoffs. Also helped our running back get a 1,000 rushing yard season! What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me. I’ve been playing since a very young age and have fell in love with the game ever since. Football is what I’m passionate about and it’s my way of escaping from life sometimes. When I’m out there on that field it’s just me doing what I Iove to do with no other worries. What should college coaches know about you? I am a natural leader who loves to help out teammates if they need it. I’m a very hard worker and always give maximum effort both on the field and in the classroom. I’m always willing to listen to coaches if they are correcting me on something and I always respond in a positive way. I’m also very competitive so I love to win games and will do whatever I can in my power to help the team achieve that goal of winning. What do you like about playing in the trenches? It’s always a battle in the trenches, every play! Love going out there and just hitting someone every play. That’s what lineman do! But I also like the teamwork aspect of offensive line. If someone isn’t doing their job then the whole play just goes to waste. A offensive line is only good when all 5 guys woke together as a cohesive unit. Always try to build good relationships with my fellow offensive lineman because then we will work better together. How does Plainfield North look for the upcoming season? I think we actually look pretty good right now. We’re definitely losing a good amount of core seniors, but I think we have guys that can step up and fill those roles. We have a very good group of starting juniors returning so those guys and myself and can only get better from last year. Plainfield North also has an outstanding coaching staff. All of them are top notch and know how to get us prepared for opponents. I definitely think that we have the ability to have another great season in the fall! Who on Plainfield North is going to explode on the recruiting trail from the Class of 2025/2024?

In the class of 2025, I think Omar Coleman will become a major recruit. He is a rb/wr with blazing speed. He’s super dangerous in open space. In the class of 2024 I think Leo Tovar, Braxton Bartz, and Michael Byrne could become starters and have a good impact on our team's success!
