Samuel Peterson Momence Class of 2022 6'4 210 DE/TE/ATH
Samuel Peterson how was your Spring Season? My Spring Season was very successful for me and my team. I came out hungry to play after being pent up in the weight-room during covid and the first semester of school. We went 4-2 which was very exciting for us after a few years of having a losing record. I played tight End and defensive End.What does football mean to you?To me football is an opportunity to play on a team with people that you develop chemistry with and learn to work together to be successful. It’s also an opportunity to show your physical and mental limits, and to develop grit. What should college coaches know about you?I always hustle and I have a good work ethic from being raised on the farm. I’m a very coachable player and I’m always trying to learn something new about the positions I play. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait is probably my ability to finish blocksHow does Momence look for the upcoming season? It’s looking very promising. We have all the guys at the school weightlifting 3 days a week and practicing on Wednesdays. We have some good athletes and some talent to work with so we are excited to see what the fall brings. We are already seeing improvement from the work we’ve put in.Who else on Momence should I be on the lookout for?We have quite a few players to be on the look out for. Luis Barrera our safety, Kudde Bertram our dual threat QB, Anthony Martinez our wide receiver, Dawson Petkunas our linebacker, and Ethan Mills our strong side defensive end. All great athletes I couldn’t leave one out.
