Charlie Economou how was your junior season?
It actually taught me a lot. At first our goal was to make state playoffs. The first game came, and we all got locked in on the bus. It was a tough game and on the last play of the game, are QB got injured and we ended up losing, 28-27. That first game gave me all the motivation I needed to step up and be the true captain and leader. I overcame many challenges and throughout the season our team really gotten that team connection we needed to win our last game.
What should college coaches know about you?
They should know I am always ready to compete against the best. I have always been called undersized and I will prove them all wrong. I don’t let one bad play affect me. I use that as motivation to step it up. I also love to set an example for my younger teammates to look up to.
What does football mean to you?
Football, to me, is a way to free myself from all the stress and just play the game i love and improve my craft. Without football I don’t where I would be right now. It has helped me both mentally and physically to get my head on the right path to success. What do you feel are some goals for yourself this upcoming season? Make state playoffs which I am very confident we will! My personal goal is to get double digit sacks. Also, to set an example to my teammates. How does Lincoln Park look for the upcoming season? I feel GREAT about the team! We have more size on are team and gotten stronger. We have had a coaching change which changed a little, but all people should know about us is they better get ready because this is going to be a great comeback season for us after a rough season. We are just going to put that behind us and move on. Who on Lincoln Park is ready to have a breakout season? Our quarterback Randy Braimah has been working every day since his setback and his name is going to be out there! He was great arm strength and accuracy. Our linemen have gotten stronger and faster, and I am very excited about us!
