Sean Banks Glenbard East ATH Class of 2021 6'0 195

Sean Banks how was your 2019 season? Had a very well deserved 8-1 season last year. Everyone came to practice everyday to work and get better. It really showed when the offense went against the defense in practice like my head coach Walters always says “Iron sharpens Iron”. It made me the player I am today going against players on our offensive line like Carlos Carbajal and receivers like Ladonus Rodgers. The flip side of that being, when I was playing running back I had to go against players like Gabe Jameson on the defensive line and Dan Quirk at middle linebacker What schools have you talked to so far? I’ve talked to a humble amount of schools from all around the board from D3 to D1 and NAIA. The D3 schools being Augustana, North Park, Illinois Wesleyn, Millikin University, Elmhurst college, and Knox college. FCS D1 schools being, Dayton and Valparaiso. NAIA being Trinity International University and Roosevelt What would you like college coaches to know about you? That I am a very fast, smart, and aggressive, player and most importantly a team player. When you need plays or the hype I’m always there. Also I’m a very versatile player being able to play pretty much any skill position. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel like my decision making on the field is my strongest trait. I know when I need to use my speed to cover the flats or when to buckle down and get big for a play up the middle. Vise versa on offense I trust my speed to get me through to the secondary and if needed to run over a defender for extra yards. I really emphasize getting every yard on offense

How does Glenbard East look for the upcoming season? Honestly I feel like our team this year might be one of the greatest teams to come through Glenbard East. Our defensive line is absolutely insane I don’t see anyone being able to get more than 3 seconds to throw the ball and even if they do our linebackers and secondary will be there. Our offensive line is equivalent to our defensive line in that I don’t see anyone being able to push our line backwards which is going to make our QB untouchable. I feel we have a very strong and stable depth chart when it comes to skill positions were underclassmen can really step up if needed to and hold their own.
