Rocco DiLeonardi how was your sophomore season? It was awesome and a great steppingstone for my football career. My coaches were awesome to be around and to be coached by. My teammates pushed me to new levels I have never pushed myself to which made the season so much more beneficial. What does football mean to you? Football is a major part of my life. I have been playing since I was 5 and started tackle football when I was 6. It taught me discipline in ways that school and other sports never could. It has also helped me create relationships with coaches and teammates that I will have for the rest of my life. What would you like college coaches to know about you? I dedicate myself in everything I do. This includes school, the weight room, and the football field. I want coaches to know that I am a leader, and I am as competitive as one can be. I would love to be a part of any college football program. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My competitive personality. I always want to get better and be the best. I may not be the tallest or the strongest guy on the field, but I work hard to win, and I push my teammates to do the same! What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason? My speed. I am quick off the ball, but I need to become a better overall player, and speed is a key factor of that. Speed also relates to my hand fighting. By me being able to hit the O-Linemen’s hands before they can touch me will become my greatest strength in the seasons to come. How does Geneva look for the upcoming season? We have a lot of talent, and I am very excited to play with these guys. Us upcoming juniors and seniors have lots of chemistry, but we have lots to build on to become the best team possible.
