Keegan Otte how was your junior season?
Personally, I had a great season. I was All-Conference and All-Area honorable mention. Unfortunately, as a team we had a challenging season because we played against some great competition.
What does football mean to you?
Football has been a big part of my life since I was younger. I started watching college football with my grandpa and fell in love with the game. I started playing flag football in 2nd grade and fell in love with the game. I am loving being a part of a team. My favorite part is training and pushing myself to the limits to get better every day. What was your favorite memory from last season?
My favorite memory from last season was the Homecoming game vs Crystal Lake Central because we were winning the majority of the game and it was personally my best game for rushing and scoring. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait is my explosiveness from the line of scrimmage and my ability to fight for extra yards. What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I'm disciplined, coachable and dedicated to football. I'm always looking to learn how to improve my game and willing to do whatever it takes for the team to win. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
In the off season, I’ve been working on my footwork, quicker feet and explosiveness. I’ve also been spending a lot of time in the weight room.
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
My main goal this season is to help our team win a few games and for myself to statistically do better than last year so colleges will take a look at me. I ultimately want to continue to play in college. What do you like about playing running back?
I like getting the ball and making things happen. I like reading the defense, finding the hole or if nothings there, at least driving through for a couple yards. What game are you most looking forward to this upcoming season?
I’m looking forward to playing Cary Grove this year because I get to face the state champs and it's a great opportunity to show what we as a team have been working for. How does Dundee-Crown look for the upcoming season?
Our biggest problem last season was that guys didn’t have experience playing in games together. In addition, we only had few seniors as well as a smaller team. This year we have a lot of returning starters with experience in Varsity games along with new talent. We have been putting a lot of time in practice, the weight room, and competing in 7on7s throughout the summer.
