Anthony Palano how was your season? Honestly, I think I made a good jump from last year, and I give full credit to my coaches and teammates. Starting both ways was obviously a rough task at hand, but I think I handled it very well and had a good year to back it up. I obviously have some work to do and cant wait to continue to improve for next year. What does football mean to you?
To me football is more than a game, I think it builds character and shows you how important it is to count on one another. This year proved that as we had a lot of new guys step in, we trusted one another, and got to the playoffs. Without football, i definitely would not be the person I am today. What should college coaches know about you? I think college coaches should know that I'm a hard worker, coachable, and that I'm willing to do whatever it takes to win. I believe that with college football it is very different from high school, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to play at that next level. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I believe that my strongest trait on the field is my leadership, this is due to the fact that im willing to help my teammates adjust as the game goes on, spread the call given to make sure everyones on the same page, and to help someone if they are confused on the fly.
What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason?
A part of my game I am going to be working on this offseason is going to be my speed and explosiveness. I believe that in order to elevate my game, I need to definitely improve those.
Who on Buffalo Grove had a breakout season this season? On Buffalo Grove I would say our sophomore Alex Branas at the Hero spot. As a sophomore he had some big shoes to fill with Blake Juckett graduating. He came in during summer camp after a great freshman year, balled out during camps, and he just seems to have a nose for the ball and continued to get better throughout the year.
