Jayden Lawrence how was your junior season? Unfortunately, I was unable to play football my junior year. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me. It has played a major role in my development as a person, and it’s presented me with the opportunity to lead a team of very different people that share a common goal of winning football games. What should college coaches know about you? I am a confident leader, a winner, a true student of the game, and film junky. I am committed to excellence and presenting me with the opportunity to lead their football program will a great decision. What do you like about playing QB? I am a natural born leader, so I enjoy that leadership role that I get to take on in being an extension of my coach and being a true field general. I also love the mental aspect of it. Creating mismatches for the defense with different formations, motions, etc. and putting my team in the best position to win on every down. I love throwing with anticipation and envisioning things pre and post snap before they happen. I also really love throwing touchdowns. Favorite route you like to throw to? 10 yard out What goals do you have for yourself this season? Earn my first scholarship offer, first team all-conference, conference mvp, first team all-state, break the single reason passing yard record and the single season passing touchdown record. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? Being able to recognize tendencies and coverages faster, working on my speed, and throwing the ball with anticipation. What game are you most looking forward to this upcoming season? Week 1 against Minooka. It’ll be my first varsity game.
