Nicholas Prestipino Amundsen Athlete Class Of 2024 6'3 215

Nicholas Prestipino how was your junior season? I think there were ups and downs in my Junior season, but I learned a lot from it. I did not perform at the level that I know i can perform at, but I am much more confident in this upcoming season. Constantly pushing myself and my teammates to perform and compete at the highest level. How has your offseason been so far? My offseason has been packed with different challenges to push myself to perform at the best level. Lifting twice a day, and wrestling in the winter to stay in shape and improve my tackling abilities. What does football mean to you? Football is everything to me, I’ve made a ton of sacrifices in my life to actually play this sport, but I have no regrets in sacrificing things for the sport that I care so much about. What should college coaches know about you? I adapt quickly to different situations. I’m a good learner, I am willing to work hard.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My strongest trait is my instincts and leadership on the field. My guys trust me and respect me as a person.
How was your wrestling season?
It was a new experience for me. I learned the basics, won games and lost games. My strength and quick learning allowed me to win some games, but those that had wrestled before got the best of me.
How do you feel wrestling has helped your football technique? Wrestling helped me get lower; it also helped me understand the idea of free mass. Wrestling is nothing like weightlifting. Moving a 220-pound person is a lot harder than tossing a 220-pound barbell over your head. Wrestling gave me the confidence that i needed on the football field.
