We are back IHSA Football Family!!! As is every summer conference previews and again please remember predictions and previews mean crap. High school football is the greatest thing because of pure parity. What is up last year could be down this year and what is down last year can up this year. ANYTHING AND I MEAN ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN IHSA FOOTBALL. Last year, 2022 was mild to surprises and was calm predictable season. Also, unlike some prep writers who take credit and copy and paste the coach's work off a crap team questionnaire I do my own work. BLACK DIAMOND CONFERENCE 2023 Season Preview
Johnston City had a complete season in 2022 but fell short in the semifinals. JCHS losses two killer linemen and a star in Watson. Fairfield looks ready and stocked to take the Black Diamond Conference with speed on both sides of the ball and underrated offensive line. CWCHS losses playmaker in King but retains senior leadership at the line. Flora losses some big-time senior playmakers to graduation but has depth to challenge the BDC this season with size on the line returning. Sesser Valier is returning some great talent back, but the graduation of Gunter and Hoffard will hurt. Eldorado was my surprise team last year but failed to make it the playoffs but overall look to get a playoff berth. They lose dynamic Price and stud Owens this season. Christopher who I had as another surprise sort of killed my projection and will say that this season you will see much improvement. Hamilton got some nice young playmakers this season need to start the gate of winning. Edwards County has a young star in Siebert and need get winning early. Vienna will be very interesting this season with star playmaker Woodrome back at the helm.
