Matt Marusich how does it feel to be 2-0 starting off the season? It feels great. Especially because last season we didn’t get our first win until Week 4, so being able to start off this year with two wins over some good teams has been awesome. What does football mean to you? Football means the world to me. It’s something that can’t be explained. There’s nothing like going out on a Friday night in-front of thousands of people and playing. I have so much love for the game and only other football players can understand that. What should college coaches know about you? They should know that I’m a hard worker and a leader. No matter what happens I’m going to keep making the team and myself better.
Who has been a breakout player this season so far for Barrington?
Definitely our QB Nick Peipert. He done an amazing job stepping up and running the offense. I’ve never seen a junior quarterback look so dominant against some of the better teams in the state.
What goals do you have for yourself rest of the season? I want to win state.
