So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell
Jason Bowker how was your junior season?
We had an entire new coaching staff coming in a month before the season so not much prep went into it with the 26 guys we had. We went 0-9 but the lessons learned from that season going into my senior year will stick with me. Personally, I knew what varsity football was about with it being my second year, I felt as if I improved vastly from sophomore year to this past season.
What can this Alleman team do for the upcoming season?
Go into it with that same scrappy mindset of the 0-9 team looking for a win we once were. Building pieces around the solid rising senior core we have and having a solid rushing attack behind our strong line is going to be a key part in our bounce back year.
What does football mean to you?
It means an outlet from problems in life. The bonds you make are at times unforgettable as well.
What should college coaches know about you?
I am the hardest worker in the room and push myself to be in the position I need to be successful. On the field I lead by example, whether in practice or games, and I will go 100% in any situation presented to me.
What do you like about playing in the trenches?
Not just the physicality aspect of it but the thought aspect of it thinking on your feet and judging the weight of the defensive lineman is a great challenge that I enjoy.
What do incoming Alleman freshmen players need to know about the program?
We aren’t a program that plans on messing around this season. We plan on grinding all summer long and being in mid-season form Week 1.
