Alex Porter how was your 2019 season?
My 2019 season was really good for multiple reasons. I had a great group of guys around me and we were able to finish 6-3. We lost some close games, but as a player I progressed greatly throughout the year. Our coaches always gave us a chance to win, and we did a good job of executing play after play
What does football mean to you?
For me football is more than just a game, it’s a journey. I obviously love the competition it brings and playing Friday nights, but football is a brotherhood. I get to work day in and day out with my best friends doing what I love. Football also always me to express myself. I get to go out and have fun. I feel at home on the field. There is nothing better than putting the pads on everyday
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
I’ve been working on getting stronger everyday. Of course throwing regularly too. I’ve been able to increase all my max outs significantly in the time since last season ended. I’m faster, stronger, and a better passer than I was last year. I’m in the best shape of my life right now
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know they won’t find a harder worker than me. In season and in the offseason I work harder than everyone else. Through all the adversity I worked harder than the rest to be where I am. I’m also a great learner. I want to soak in all the knowledge I can do I can be the best physically and mentally. How does Geneva look for 2020?
Geneva looks good. Last year was a rough year for the team, but you will definitely see a bounce back this year. You can expect us to win some games, and I believe we will make the playoffs. We have some real stars. More than we have had in years. The chemistry is here this year and we have all been grinding over the offseason. This is Geneva’s year, and we are here to prove everyone wrong. I’m excited for it all to play out. We will be back
