Michael Badke Class of 2021 Brother Rice 5'9 180 LB/S
Michael Badke how was your 2019 season?
My 2019 season was a great experience. It was roller coaster of emotions up and down and we fought through a lot of adversity. Going 5-4 in the regular season and then making a playoff run to the semi finals we really peaked and came together at the right time which was really cool to be apart of.
What does football mean to you?
Football means a lot to me and my family and it really is a huge part of my life. It has taught me so many lessons and I would not be where I am today without football. My grandpa has a saying and it’s “faith, family and football” and pretty much that’s how we live our life.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I see my strengths as a football player is being a great teammate always keeping positive energy. I also feel I am a very smart football player. Growing up around the game, I feel I have a great sense for the football. I also think I am very physical and love to hit people. I think it is important to be very coachable and am always looking to get better.
What do you like about playing on the defense?
I like being able to hit people and being able to play physical.
Who is the funny guy on the Brother Rice team?
We definitely have some characters on our team but I am going to have to say definitely Dwayne Moorehead, Austin Veal and Willie Shaw are definitely up there.
