Meet Pleasant Plains ATH Jeremiah Carter Class Of 2021

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Jeremiah Carter Class of 2021 Pleasant Plains RB/LB/ATH 6'1 205

Jeremiah Carter how was your 2019 season?

I personally think I had a great season. I played at outside linebacker and right guard. Even though we didn’t have the season we wanted I learned so much, which will polish my game coming into the 2020 season.

What does football mean to you?

Football has taught me to be more disciplined, how to lead, how to sacrifice, how to talk to others, push my teams and staying cool under stressful situations. But it also means a group of guys coming together and overcoming adversity!

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

My strongest trait on the football field would have to be my football IQ. I have a feel for where the ball is going but also reading my keys helps ensure that I will always be in the play. This has been a trait since I was in junior high.

How does Pleasant Plains look for 2020?

I feel like with most of our 2019 team returning we will have a very successful season. We have a young quarterback in Jack Western that will learn the offense and become a great dual threat QB. Another guy that could be a potential big piece is Parker Kmett(WR) he has explosive speed and is a deep/jet sweep threat. Also AJ Pankey(TE) which was selected 2nd team all-conference only will continue to get better. We plan on moving me back to running back and I have been training hard to slim down to 205 and to be more explosive. So with the combination of our key pieces and the core of the team coming back we have a possibly to make the playoffs in a tough Sangamo Conference

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that I am a leader and very coachable. Another thing is my work ethic, I will out work everyone, I simply want to be the best on and off the field. My current goals, as I am back in my offseason routine, are to continue to add mass and get faster. I will continue to learn from teachers, parents and coaches. I want to go to a college that has a great political science, criminology or criminal justice course.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of IHSA Football

RESPECT THE GAME
