Carter Evans Class of 2021 Prairie Ridge 6'4 235 ATH

COACH BIG PETE: Carter Evans how was your 2019 season?

CARTER: I feel like we had a very successful season. It didn’t end the way we would have liked but we ended up coming in 2nd place in state for 6a. Unfortunately, my season came to an end after the first round of the playoffs due to a fractured fibula so I was not able to play in the last four games. But my teammates did a tremendous job filling in and demonstrating that next man up mentality. I will truly miss playing with all those seniors, most of which I have been playing with for most of my football career.

What schools have you been talking to so far?

The schools that have offered have kept in close contact with me and there are a good amount of power 5 schools that visited the school during the contact period, most of which have been staying in close contact with me as well.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I’m very passionate about what I do. I take my academics very seriously along with my offseason training. I also just love to compete in anything I do.

What do you believe is your strongest trait on the field?

I would have to say my toughness and leadership are the two traits that I take the most pride in on the football field.

How does this Prairie Ridge squad look for 2020?

I’m very excited about this upcoming season. We have around 5 or 6 returning starters on each side of the ball. We can accomplish great things next season as long as we continue to work our hardest during this offseason. We have a lot of great seniors graduating but our whole team is putting in the work right now in the weight room and I’m excited to see some of the younger guys step up, as well us seniors to step up and fill the leadership role that last years seniors demonstrated.
