Aidan Tweedy Oswego Class of 2021 OL/LS 6'4 250

COACH BIG PETE: Aidan Tweedy how was your 2019 season?

AIDAN: Overall, I would say it was a successful year. We had a lot of juniors who got a lot of playing time. I believe that was super important for what’s to come in 2020. We had two losses to very quality teams in minooka and Bolingbrook and we were very close to a 9th conference championship in a row. Honestly the best part about the 2019 season was the strides that I personally made as a player and the strides we made as a team.

What do you like about playing in the trenches?

From a playing standpoint, my favorite thing is run blocking. I love to be aggressive and I love contact. Though truly, my absolute favorite thing is the brotherhood I have with every single person on the line. The bonds we created throughout the season certainly translated to the games and overall resulted in a great year.

How good can this Oswego offensive line be for 2020?

I believe that the offensive line will be very good next year. We return 3 starters, including Otto Hess at tackle, Carter Anderson at center, and myself at the other tackle. To add, both Otto and I were beacon news all area selections. Couple that with other returning talented juniors and upcoming sophomores, we have a very good shot to be successful in the 2020 season.

What should college coaches know about you?

I believe I have many qualities to be a successful college athlete. I work extremely hard and love to be in the weight room and on the practice field. I first began learning the basics of weightlifting at CrossFit in about 4th grade. On top of that, I have shown I am able to balance football with other responsibilities, including academics and other sports. I played baseball through my sophomore year and I have maintained a high GPA.

Who is the big eater on Oswego Line?

I will have to award that one to Otto
