Max Caltagerone Class of 2021 OL/DL Rockford Boylan 6'3 230

Max Caltagerone how was your 2019 season?

Personally my 2019 season was a big one for me. Being that it was my 2nd season as a starter on Varsity, I knew there were a lot of expectations. I started both ways along with two other linemen. I was honored with an All- Conference 1st team selection for my play at Left Guard, and I had a very solid season at defensive end including 22 tackles, 18 for a loss, 1 sack and 2 passes deflected. I helped lead our team to a State Semi-final appearance.

How does Boylan look for 2020?

As for next season, Boylan is looking good. We have a ton of 2nd and third year starters returning, including 5 All- Conference players. We are poised for another deep run into the playoffs.

What does football mean to you?

Football has always been something that is there for me. Whether is helping me have excuses to stay out of trouble, motivating me to improve myself, giving me motivation to keep my grades up, or simply giving me something fun to do.

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

My personal goal for this upcoming season is to first become a team captain, and lead my team to another conference title and deeper into the playoffs. Along the way I want to lead my star studded defensive line in tackles and sacks.

What should college coaches know about you?

If I could have coaches know one thing about me, it’s that I will always be the first player to show up and the last one to leave. I want to be coached and am always going to be the hardest worker, and I will always encourage and lead people to try and outwork me.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?

In my opinion, my strongest trait on the field is my all around will to win. I want to win and I make the people around me want to follow me to victory.
