Coach Big Pete: Trevor Griffin how was your 2019 season?
Trevor Griffin: My 2019 season was a lot of fun. We finished with 7 regular season wins and played some great teams. It was a great learning experience playing at the varsity level.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I am an excellent student carrying a 4.0 GPA with a majority of honors and AP classes. I spend countless hours in the weight room, and do extra work to improve as a player.
How does Andrew look for 2020?
We lost some great seniors that will be hard to replace. However, I am confident in my class and the upcoming juniors. We have returning starters at key positions that are looking to be leaders for next season. We want to continue with the winning culture that Coach Lew has created here at VJA.
What game are you looking forward to in 2020?
The first game. We open with Kaneland, a team we have never played. I want to start strong in front of our home crowd.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?
I feel my strongest trait is my ability to see the field and take what the defense gives us. I can impact the game through the air, or on my feet. Whatever the team needs.
