Hunter Simmons Class of 2021 Mt. Vernon QB 6'4 211
Hunter Simmons how was your 2019 season?
It was great. Coming off a season ending broken leg my sophomore year and having a young team I didn’t know what to expect. The year was great though, although the team may not of had the year we were hoping for I had a great season personally setting multiple school passing records.
What does football mean to you?
Football means everything to me...it’s something about the game that is just special to me. I grew up around football my entire life and I fell in love with it
What was your favorite memory from last season?
Our week 8 game against Centralia... our two towns rivalry goes way back. Just the atmosphere of the game was amazing.
What should college coaches know about you?
That I am going to work harder than any guy against me. My work ethic is something I pride myself on, on the field and in the classroom. I am very coach able and a great teammate.
What part of your game do you feel you need to work on in the offseason?
More the metal part of the game... being able to quickly read a defense so I know what calls I need to make and where my reads are. Games are won and lost in the film room
Who else on MT.Vernon should I be on the lookout for in 2020?
My brother Evan Leake. Absolute stud and could help out any program in the country.
