Darius Ragland how was your 2019 season?
My season went pretty well for my first year at quarterback. I had to make the transfer from defensive back to quarterback and I ran with it. I was all conference and all state honorable mention this year at QB. We didn’t get too far in the playoffs but it was still a great experience and gave me motivation for next year. We also won conference champs for the first time in 28 years.
What does football mean to you?
Football means a lot to me. It’s something I love. It Also keeps me motivated in school and being upstanding in the community.
What schools have you talked to so far?
I have talked to coaches form Valparaiso, Purdue , Tennessee State, and SIU. Those are the main ones.
What should college coaches know about you?
That I am hard worker and I can handle constructive criticism. I also have no problem stepping out my comfort zone to help with the team. Last but not least I am a competitor and love to win.
Who on Carbondale should I be on the lookout for in 2020?
Gabe Hilliard, Tyrono Williamson, Tequire Lawrence, and Will Bowlby they are gonna make some noise this upcoming season along with me!
What game are you looking forward to in 2020?
The State Championship and Conference Championship.
