Matthew Baker Rochester ATH/DE Class of 2021 6'4 200
Matthew Baker how did your 2019 season go?
We had a great season ending in a 5 A State Championship against a great team. Individually, I played both offense and defense and had several crucial catches and many downfield blocks for Hank and Clay.
What does football mean to you?
I love football and am very lucky to be a part of this program. Being part of such and intricate offense and defense, strengthens my mind and body. I really want football to be a part of my college experience and always have.
What position do you feel most comfortable in?
I feel that I have very good hands and I enjoy the pressure. So, I would say wide receiver but I also enjoy a good sack!
What should college coaches know about you?
I'm disciplined, a hard worker and team player. I understand the importance of my studies and will continue to get better, stronger and faster.
What are your winter plans?
There are a lot of things going on in the off-season. Since our season goes pretty much from June till the end of November i’m taking December off for my body to recover. Working on taking my ACT and continuing with my studies. I will spending a lot of time at ER Fitness working out and working on speed drills. I will also spend a lot of time running routes for Hank and Jack.
