Jonas Capek Fenwick Class of 2021 WR 6'2 175

Jonas Capek how was your 2019 season?

My 2019 season was a constant drive for success. Each play, everyday I strived to improve my game and be the best player I could be. I achieved many of the goals I set before myself and always made sure I was improving as a player and a person.

What was your favorite memory from 2019?

Hands down my favorite memory from 2019 was playing against Nazareth week 3. The atmosphere of that game was intense to say the least. We came out knowing what Naz was capable of, but didn’t let it affect our game. We just kept playing our hearts out till the final whistle. The loss was disappointing, but I was proud that none of my teammates quit and put their fullest effort.

What schools have you been talking to so far?

So far, I’ve only been talking to Cincinnati. My recruitment is fully open.

What should college coaches know about you?

I am a disciplined, obsessed worker. When I have a goal in mind, I get after it. Time is valuable and I don’t like to waste it. I always ask myself, What can I do today to make myself a better player? How can I help my team? Every play I’m on the field is a blessing and In my mind, 100% effort is only acceptable. I apply this mentality to my everyday life.

What are your offseason plans?

The off-season is where the grind happens. When I’m not training with my quarterback Kaden Cobb, I’m in the weight room everyday after school. When I have days off of school, I go on lengthy runs early in the morning and do body weight workouts. It’s the little things that get you to your final goal. My ultimate goal is to get bigger, faster, and smarter so I can help my team as much as I can for the upcoming season.
