Hank Beatty big win Saturday.... What does it mean to you guys to go up a class and win the title?
It means a lot. When we heard we had been bumped up to 5a, it really pushed us to win a state championship to show everyone how good we are and how good the coaches and the program are.
How in the zone were you that Saturday?
I was as focused as I have ever been in my life. Playing was the only thing I could think about for the entire week leading up to the game. I didn’t want to let my seniors down, so I knew I had to do the best I could possibly do for them.
What should college coaches know about you?
I’m very easy to coach and will put my best effort forward. I understand the game and know what has to be done and when to do it. I am in control of my body at all times. I am also a good kid in the classroom.
What are your winter plans?
I plan to workout as much as I can. I want to become stronger and faster in the offseason. I will also constantly be working with my coach on my throwing and running routes.
What does football mean to you?
Football is a part of me. Ever since I was a little kid I always played pick up football with the neighborhood kids, I watched games with my dad all weekend, and I love just sitting and listening to my coaches brainstorm about game plans. During the football season there was nothing that could stop my mind from thinking about the next game or practice. I couldn’t live without it.
