Cory Siegel how is your season going so far?
I am playing at a level I’ve wanted to be at all year. Defensively I’ve had a lot of success in zone and man coverage as well as stopping the run. I also play a lot of special teams and have 3 punts this year. One of them being the opening drive of our first playoff game.
What do you see in this Lake Forest team for Saturday?
While this team might have a lot of talent, we have seen everything their offensive is going to run throughout the year. There is very little this team can to do surprise us defensively.
What does Deerfield football mean to you?
Deerfield football is my life. Every since I can remember I have been going to the games and fantasizing about playing on the varsity team. Now that’s I finally got the chance to play varsity football for my home town it’s been truly amazing. It’s really a dream come true
What do you like about playing linebacker?
I love that I really get to do it all. There is a lot of times that I am playing in coverage, there’s a lot of times that I’m playing in the box, and there is a lot of times that I’m playing down on the line. I get to be as physical as I can and get a great variety of play
What should college coaches know about you?
They should know that I have zero quit in me. No matter the circumstance, I’m not gonna fold up and quit. I also love competition. Everyday whether it’s in football or school or just in my daily life I try to compete and be the best.
