Laten Wayer how was your regular season?
Our regular season was historical! The last time Salem went 7-2 was 1999. We struggled at the beginning but finished the season off winning 6 straight. Personally, I believe I have had a great Senior Season! Obviously there's always room for improvement but besides a few things I've seen on film, my game has been quite unique!
What does football mean to you?
Football is my life. I've played it since I can remember and have always had different kind of love for the game. I've never been able to see myself without the game of football in my life and that's why I plan on playing in college. It's been a dream since I was a little kid to play in the NFL and although it's a long shot, I am still chasing that dream! The game of football has done so much for me. Weather it's the atmosphere of a playoff game, or teaching me lessons. Football has been a major priority in my life, and I know it will be for the rest of my life!
What schools have you been talking to?
I have been mainly talking to Illinois College, Graceland University, Greenville University, Millikin, and Knox College!
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I have always been a hard worker. Work ethic and making sure my routes are precise are very big to me. I'm always trying to figure out new ways and ideas on how to get open and to always be explosive on my first step!
Also, I am a big team player and will do anything to win!
Who else on Salem should I be on the lookout for?
Most definitely Senior LB and RB, Trevor Greene, and Senior QB Rylan Quinn! Junior RB and LB Keyton Mitchell and Junior TE Trent Boles! One of my personal favorites, Caden Bee. A sophomore WR and Safety who has so much talent and is like a son to me!
