So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Jacob Bryles Class of 2020 St.Teresa WR

Jacob Bryles how has your season been?

My season has been great so far. A couple games could have been a lot better in my eyes but we’re still winning. Everyone is excited for the playoffs and is ready to work hard to get to state

What do you like about playing WR?

I really enjoy being able to show off my speed. I can burn someone on a fade or I can take a screen an blow by the defense.

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that I’m willing to put the extra work in. I’m always finding ways that I can better myself and I love working to improve on those things.

Favorite memory so far this season?

My favorite memory by far was my 17 yard fade route TD against Central A&M. It was to take the lead and I can remember fighting for the ball from the defensive back. It felt like I was moving in slow motion and I think it was awesome how I was able to keep my feet in bounds.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field is?

My speed, just being able to burn kids on offense and the ability to not get burnt on defense.

Who on St.Theresa is having a breakout season?

Joey Staab is having a great season. He’s played varsity all four years, but this is really his first year always playing offense. He’s a great slot receiver, great strong safety, and he’s also our punt and kick returner. He does it all and we can always rely on him to make plays.

So what do you see in this Shelbyville team for Friday?

Shelbyville is a team trying to make the playoffs and is trying to play spoilers against us. They had a great game against tuscola only losing by four points. Kentrell Beck is a great player to look out for and will make a play when his team needs it. If we can find away to keep him quiet we will have a great chance to win.
