So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell
Lance Rees Marshall Class of 2021 DE/TE/ATH 6'5 210
Lance Rees long time its been.... How has your recruiting been going?
It’s been going great. I’ve been on four game day visits so far this fall and hopefully I can get out to a couple more. I’m loving the process of recruiting.
What schools are you talking to?
Iowa, Iowa St, Wisconsin, and Nebraska were the schools I went on visits to. I’ve also been in contact with Northwestern, Miami of Ohio, and Missouri.
How has your season been so far?
Our team has had a tough year so far but we’re still in the hunt for the playoffs and are looking to win out and make it in. This season personally, I have 44 catches for 497 yards and 4 touchdown.
Who are some Marshall players I should keep an eye out for?
Raidyn Franklin is a freshman linebacker who’s stepped up big for us when we needed him. He’s a really strong and athletic kid who plays hard and smart. Ethan Harper is a senior lineman who is starting to get some looks at the next level. He’s a great leader on our team and is a great player.
What do you feel is you strongest trait on the field is?
I think my athleticism is. I think it allows my team to use me in a lot of ways besides what a traditional tight end does and turn normal plays into big ones.
