Ashton Summers Mt.Zion QB Class of 2021 6'1 180
Ashton Summer how is your season going so far?
Good, we are 4-0. We are getting better every week and maturing as a group.
What do you attribute to your team's hot start?
I am helping lead the offensive guys and just overall setting the tempo for them throughout the game to put us in a position to win.
What does football mean to you?
It means a lot, I love the game. It has created many bonds with my teammates and coaches. It has also taught me lessons that I will be able to use my whole life.
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
I will do whatever I can to put my team in the best situation to win. I am a student of the game and I am always understanding the game more to get better. I believe the little things really help you win games and that is what I pay attention to.
What do you see in this Mahomet-Seymour team for Friday?
They have some athletes on their team that have done well this season. Their first 4 games have been tough games for them and they are coming off of a tough loss against a good Effingham team. Since it is their homecoming game they are going to be locked in and looking to bounce back. We are prepared for tomorrow and the team and I are looking forward to a great atmosphere and game.
What do you like about playing QB?
I like being able to lead the team and set the tempo of the game. It’s a privilege to be out there on Friday nights and play with my teammates. There is so much that goes into the position but I enjoy every part of it.
