Jay Randle Hinsdale Central Class of 2021 ER/LB 6'3 210

Jay Randle how has your season been so far?

The season has been great. With all of the unknowns this offseason on whether or not we would have a team and the loss of some of our coaching staff it has been great to finally get out on the field and play. Everyone on the team worked hard in the off-season no matter what the circumstances were and we are just happy to see it all finally come together.

What schools have you been talking to so far?

I have not been talking to any schools in particular but I have received invites to camps from Penn and Wartburg College. I also received a game day invitation from Denison.

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that I work equally as hard on the field and in the classroom. I take a lot of pride in my school work and academics have always come first to me. I also want coaches to know that I will compete no matter where you put me on the field. I have been asked to play many different positions in my football career and I will be all in no matter where I am at.

What position do you feel most comfortable in?

Right now I would say defensive end but my primary position leading up to this year has always been inside linebacker. When I was asked to try out D-Line it initially felt unnatural but thanks to great coaching I am now very comfortable there.

What has been one of your favorite memories so far this season?

My favorite memory this season so far was definitely our big win against Naperville Central. It showed everyone that Hinsdale Central football is ready to compete despite all of the drama during the off-season. It also set the expectation for our team and how we want this season to go.

What do you see in this OPRF team for friday night?

I see a big athletic team that looks to run the ball down our throats. The game is going to come down to who is more physical and who wants it more. It is going to be a dog fight up front and it should be a great game.
