CCL/ESCC SUPER CONFERENCE 2019 PREVIEW WITH COACH BIG PETE

Alright so we had the mega merger of the Chicago Catholic League and the East Suburban Catholic Conference.
LETS SHOW THE NEW DIVISIONS

So we have collection of historic teams in Illinois, that could write history book on this conference. Joliet Catholic, Loyola Academy, Nazareth were all three 2018 IHSA title winners. Nazareth Academy gets all the accollades for the 2019 season with JJ McCarthy at the helm and nice group talented WRs and top defense playmakers returning. Brother Rice has one of top defensive lines with rusher Jefferson and new transfer Denver Warren. Joliet Catholic looks to be returning top dog team ready to defend their 2018 IHSA title. Blue Division in this conference is a scary one with all 4 teams as state title contenders. For my surprises this season I have Providence Catholic, Marian. Providence Catholic to me is underlooked team that could do damage in playoffs in Novemeber all starting up fornt. Marian got a blessing in the merger and will be team full of surprises. St. Laurence has new coach and a new attitude that is bringing energy to the team.
BEST BET: Nazareth In The IHSA State Title Game 2019
BATTLE OF THE HOGS: This is a conference for the Big Hogs.. Marist, Providence Catholic, Loyola, Mt. Carmel, Brother Rice, Joliet Catholic, Fenwick
TELL ME WHY: Why is Loyola Academy being slept on? Good OL back, solid group of WRs.
Did I mention they won the 2018 state title...
TELL ME WHY 2: Nazareth got lucky draw with the Orange Division
BESIDES JJ: Other Young Gun QBs to watch in the ESCC/CCL Fenwick's Kaden Cobb, Loyola's Perrion McClinton
GAME I WANT TO SEE: Brother Rice vs Mt. Carmel
GAME I WANT TO SEE 2: Nazareth vs Marist
DEKALB BOUND: I see a couple of CCL/ESCC teams playing at NIU in November
GREAT HIRE: Darren Fortin NEW Marian Central Catholic Coach
RISING POWERS: Keep an eye out for Carmel, St. Laurence, and Marian

Final Thoughts About The ESCC/CCL
1. Nazareth can be beaten and again, their own worst enemy will be themselves
2. DeLaSalle is sleeper in 2019 but going to be a power in 2020
3. Mt.Carmel run game is dangerous, very dangerous. When you think you can stop the run they have the underrated passing game.
4. Fenwick with Cobbs is a dynamic offense
5. St. Rita has a great running game in Brown at RB
6. Carmel Program is building block by block with top notch coaching and players that believe
7. Joliet Catholic is still a team to beat no doubt about it. Coach Jaws has the Hilltoppers back to that old JCA swagger.
8. Besides Nazareth, Marian got the best deal out of this conference merger.
9. Niles Notre Dame has a key playmaking QB in Anthony Sales
10. Montini has a dangerous defense with great secondary
