Vincenzo Meschi QB Batavia Class of 2021 6'2 177

Vincenzo Meschi how was your 2018 season?

I definitely learned a lot last year. We ended the season going undefeated. It was awesome playing with all of my friends, some that i’ve known since kindergarten, but I look forward to meeting new teammates at Batavia next year.

New team.... How does it feel being at a new school?

All the players and coaches are great. They made me feel welcome which helped make the transition go real smooth. It feels awesome being at a new school. It’s defiantly a huge change, but I am really excited for what lies ahead

What does football mean to you?

I love the game of football. Not just for the physical game, but the life lessons you learn. It teaches you things you can’t learn anywhere else. You learn how to lie everything on the line not just for yourself, but for a team. It also teaches you how to be responsible and take accountability for your actions. There is so much more to it but the game has a lot to offer and thats why I love it. And for that, football means the world to me, and I am thankful I am given the opportunity to play it.

What do you like about playing QB?

I love the mental game. Being able to predict what the defense is going to do before the play even starts, and using that to help your team is awesome. I also enjoy the leadership role that comes with being a quarterback, and I feel like my personality fits in well with what it takes to enjoy the position.

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

My goal is to better myself as a player as much as as I can to contribute towards the team goal; win the state championship. From what I have seen, we have the talent, drive, and mindset to reach our goal. Now it’s time to put in the work!

Have you seen Brutus?

No, they haven’t showed him to me yet.

What should college coaches know about you?

I am hardworking, and I get along well with everyone. I am coachable and eager to learn. I love sports, give my all, and operate well under pressure. I especially love the game when it is played at a high level.
