Jamari Jenkins Evanston Class of 2021 QB/ER 6'1 180

Jamari Jenkins how was your 2018 season?

My 2018 season was great but at the same time it was a hard and grueling season. Me and my guys were able to battle it out though and stay positive through all the ups and downs that we faced.

What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?

I’ve primarily been working on trying to just be faster, more accurate, and being able to read the defense better on the offensive side of the ball but on defense I’ve been trying to also get faster and use my hands for to keep the lineman off of me

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that I’m a leader and ready at all times whenever they need me. Also they should know that I bring excitement to the locker room and that I’m a great teammate.

What does football mean to you?

Football means the world to me, not just because of the love I have for the game but because of everything that I experience throughout playing football in each year of my life. I started playing football when I was 6 and each year I learn something new. Something that could help me become a better football player and I think that’s what football is about trying to become the best player that you can be, to reach that goal that you want.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?

Being able to lead my team in different aspects and being that leader that everybody can go to.

What was the best advice you ever received from Ben Tarpey?

To study my film and always listen to the coaches because they know what they’re doing and always go 110% in practice.

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

I just wanna be the best football player, I can be this year. Learn as much as I can this year so next year during my senior year I can be even better than I am now.
