Jacob Durocher how was your 2018 season?
My 2018 season was great, I got a lot of playing time In varsity games and got a lot of experience for next year. Even though we didn’t make it to state, and the weather was terrible the season exceeded my expectations and I’m looking forward for an even better 2019 season.
What was one of your favorite memories this past season?
My favorite part of this past season on the field was getting to know the seniors and getting to play with them. Which made it really hard to see them loose against Bishop Mack in the semi finals. Off the field my favorite part was getting to chase Coach Leonard, who is terrified of frogs, with a frog.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
In this off season I’ve been working on route running, footwork, and my 40. Of those three I’ve mostly been working on running routes, it’s been nice having some older quarterbacks come back to visit Coach Leonard and throw the ball with me.
How does Rochester look for this upcoming season?
I feel rochester looks really good this year we made a deep run in playoffs and lost to a good team. We have a lot of returners from last year, and we may have one of the best offensive lines our school has ever had
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
This season I would like to break 1,000 yards rushing for varsity, I would also like to get back to the state tournament and I would like to stay healthy this season.
What should college coaches know about you?
They should know I am I very hard worker, I’m determined to win every game, and I make the most of my playing time.
