Ryan Whelan how was your 2018 season?
It was great. I had the chance to play both sophomore and varsity football. My coaches and teammates taught me how to be apart of a winning team.
What should college coaches know about you?
I started football in 8th grade, and fell in love with the game. I worked very hard to get where I am right now.
What do you like about playing linebacker?
The linebackers are the heart and soul of the defense. There the hardest hitters on the defense.
What does your summer college camp schedule look like?
I don’t know for sure what camps I’m going to yet.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
My goal is to get bigger, faster, and win a state championship.
What game are most looking forward to this upcoming season?
Mt Carmel and Loyola. Our team as a whole hasn’t beat them yet. This year I think their gonna have a tough time.
Strongest trait on the football field is?
Short-term memory. When something bad happens forget about it and go on to the next play. Don’t hang your head.
