Meet Fremd WR Andrew Saxe Class Of 2020 - Name You Need To Keep An Eye Out For

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Andrew Saxe WR/ATH Fremd Class of 2020 5'11 170

Andrew Saxe how was your 2018 season?

Although I dealt with some things, including a mid-season position change, I’d say it went great for me all in all. I didn’t put up the numbers I wanted, but we got our program turned in the right direction and started the process of bringing Fremd Football back to where it should be.

How has the position change been different for you?

I was always a football player before a quarterback, and being able to play receiver last year allowed me to just go out and play the game I love. Also, now that I’m not a quarterback, I’m able to use my talents more effectively as I feel my speed and athleticism can be utilized on all parts of the field on every single play.

What schools have you talked to so far?

I’ve been talking to some Ivy League schools like Harvard and Princeton, as well as others in the area such as UChicago.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I would like them to know that the best is only to come. My junior film isn’t indicative of the type of player I am, and I’d like them to know that I have been doing anything to help my team, and that will show in the upcoming season.

What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?

I’ve put on 20 pounds this offseason while still gaining speed and quickness. This will definitely help my game but the biggest improvement I’ve made is route running, as it’s the first offseason I’ve ever had to focus on being a receiver.

What motivates a Andrew Saxe?

Right now my biggest motivation is Fremd Football. I’ve spent my whole life dreaming of wearing the horns on Friday nights, and those childhood dreams drive me to do anything I can so that we can move towards bringing a state championship to southern Palatine.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA
