Lance Swain how was your 2018 season?
2018 Season was great. Got closer to teammates, and coaches. Didn’t go as planned but we learned a lot and plan to take another step this year.
Favorite memory from last season?
Favorite memory was when we stopped Loyola from scoring to win the game in the last seconds. That’s what molded us want to win even more in those close game situations.
What should college coaches know about you?
Coaches should know that I’m always ready to work, and compete. I’ve played this game since I was 4. Football is apart of my family and just having the opportunity to play at the next level is life changing.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
Explosiveness, and Speed. Speed kills almost everyday I’m on a field doing drills that help me break down, and be more explosive to create big plays when tackling. Also work on shedding blocks because you have big lineman coming at you every second.
What does your summer college camp schedule look like?
So far I’m thinking about attending the SIU camp in June.
Favorite part of playing on defense is what?
Favorite part hitting people. The level of intensity all the players get to when we make big stops.
What motivates a Lance Swain?
What motivates me is going everyday knowing that I only have one more year of high-school football to prove to coaches I can play at the next level.
