Jake Borman how was your 2018 season?
My 2018 season was great. I started as a left guard on varsity as a sophomore. Until our right tackle got hurt. I then started as a right tackle on varsity. Overall my 2018 season was great and I had a awesome time playing the sport I love. I’m looking forward to this next year!
Favorite memory of last season?
My favorite season from last year is when James Estes and I had a double pancake against Westmont. Meaning me and James knocked our guys into each other and we both pancaked them.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coach’s should know I am a 6’3 285 pound linemen. I have a great physical and mental mindset and I have a great work ethic. I have a love and hunger for the game of football and a drive to always get better. I am a multi sport athlete. I throw shotput and discus and I am currently #2 in shotput for sophomores in the state of Illinois and top ten in discus.
How is your track & field season going?
My track and field season is going very well. I have great teammates and a awesome coach(Jim Aiken’s) My personal record for shotput is 49’11 and for discus it’s 143’6. I love how track gets me physically and mentally in shape for this up and coming football season.
What game are you most excited about for this upcoming season?
I am most excited for the game against Prairie Ridge. The reason is I know they had a good season last year and they are always a strong team and I’m always ready for a good challenge and a good game.
Any funny Coach Iossi or Sabo stories?
Of course. My favorite story about Coach Lssoi is when he walked into the Johnsburg bathroom before the game and farted really loud and said “Those were the enchiladas”.
How good can this Burlington Central Offensive line be?
The Burlington Offensive line can and will be a force to be wreckend with this season. I’m a firm believer and trust every guy standing next to me. I have full confidence we will get the job done this year.
