Andrew Johnson Class of 2020 Glenbard West OL 6'2 275

Andrew Johnson how was your 2018 season?
It was great because I had an opportunity to start as a junior and played a big role in our offenses success by opening up holes for Tyquan, Joey and Nic. Also winning All-Conference added to the greatness
What should college coaches know about you?
I bust my ass everyday on the field, in the classroom and in the weight room. I’m also going to be a team captain for this upcoming season and I’m a vocal leader as well as someone who leads by example
How does Glenbard West look this upcoming season?
We have a ton of returning starters on both sides like Greyson Metz, Joey Richmond, David Lanciloti, Nic Seifert and this will give us an edge against our opponents
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
I’ve been working on my speed and footwork in order to give myself a advantage against bigger d-linemen. And I’ve been lifting twice a day to get stronger
Glenbard West is known for their athletes, but you guys have been able to produce linemen as well.... Why do you think that is?
I think having a great coaching staff like the one we have at West helps each class of linemen to achieve there goals on the field and off. Coach Sigmund has done a phenomenal job of producing division one talent like Jordan Walsh and Johnny Caspers
If you could schedule one game against Glenbard West who would it be and why?
Lincoln-Way Easy because the beat us last year in the second round of the playoffs. We turned the ball over to many times and did not execute plays correctly this led to our loss.
What motivates a Andrew Johnson?
My faith is a driving force in everything I do. I try to live my life through Jesus and being able to reduce the stress of my parents to pay for college. I’m motivated by all the Hitter greats before me. Also my teammates who are my closest friends and who I would call my brothers
