Braeden Heeren EPC Class of 2020 LB 6'0 195
Braeden Heeren how was your 2018 season?
My 2018 season was very emotional if I had to pick a word. It was our first season with a new head coach but we all knew what we had to do. We played as hard as we could and ended up being very successful. We took an undefeated conference title but came up a little short in the semi-finals.
What do you like about playing linebacker?
I like the amount of contact and aggressiveness you get to play with. You get to be in on every tackle and play mean, hard, and fast.
What does NUIC football mean to you?
NUIC football means a sense of pride. Knowing that you are playing amongst the best small school teams in the state is a great feeling. I also believe it is one of the most physical and competitive conferences. And l feel that EPC represents that mindset extremely well.
What game are you most looking forward to this upcoming season?
Definelty Aquin. We get them week 6 at pearl city for homecoming and I am really looking forward to this game. In the past they have been a rival and this is going to be my first time playin them in high school. But besides Aquin, we get Le-win week 1.
What should college coaches know about you?
I like to play aggressively and love the weight room. Football is very serious to me and I love to compete.
Who are some other players on EPC I should be on the lookout for this upcoming season?
We have a few very strong returning lineman coming back, Bryson Sturtevant, Eli Dertz we’re both 1st team all conference, and Wyatt Hammer is also a valuable asset. We also have a running back Travis Kaney that is looking to make a debut this season.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
This season I have set very high personal goals for myself. I am aiming for over 100 tackles personally. On the offensive side, I am still unsure of my position but I plan to go hard wherever I end up. As a team, our goal is to make a solid run but take everything one game at a time.
