So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Connor Heaton Class of 2020 Central A&M QB 6'5 190

Connor Heaton how was your 2018 season?

It was a good year as our team exceeded expectations in making the quarterfinals. I matured throughout the season in my first year as varsity quarterback and was extremely comfortable by the end of the year. I love playing the position of quarterback as I’m in on every play directing traffic and making plays.

What schools have you talked to so far?

I’ve talked to Mckendree, and Augustana and plan on going to multiple big camps this summer including Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame showcases along with a few strictly quarterback camps.

What should college coaches know about you?

I’m a competitor. I’m always doing whatever I can to win. I always take practice seriously and try to improve my skills everyday. I try my best in the classroom as well. I’m a hard worker and I don’t miss weight sessions during the off-season. I’m a great leader as I motivate my teammates on the field and in offseason workouts. I’m 6’5 190 with room to get bigger. My athleticism and arm strength are what stand out and make me special.

What do you like about playing QB?

I like being in charge of the game. As I said before, I enjoy being in on every play. I like being a dual threat QB to where I can run and pass.

How does Central A&M look for this upcoming season?

We will be looking pretty good coming into the 2019 season. Everyone that has been lifting during the off-season has been working hard. We return multiple all conference selections and two all state players. We lose some lineman but young guys will step up. Our chemistry as a unit will improve with time. Coach Weakly will have us prepared for another great year

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?

My strongest trait on the field is my desire to win. Whatever my team needs me to do to help win the game I would do. I hold my teammates accountable and make sure we’re doing everything we can to win

Give me one player in your conference you have the most respect towards and why?

Besides my teammate Jacob Paradee, I have the upmost respect for Kentrell Beck. He’s experienced season ending injuries and he still battles to play the next year. He’s a special talent.
