Saint Viator's QB Jack Ziebka Chats About Upcoming Season Class Of 2021

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Jack Ziebka Class of 2021 St.Viator QB 5'10 175

Jack Ziebka how was your 2018 season?

Although our teams did not have the success we were looking for, I learned a lot in the process and had a lot of fun growing with my teammates. I was able to get some varsity experience under my belt as well, which will be great for the future. Overall, my 2018 season was a success.

What does it mean to you to have nice group of WRs coming back for this upcoming season?

It feels relaxing having a nice group of receivers coming back for this upcoming season. It puts less on my shoulders knowing I have receivers I can rely on. Owen Hickey will be a great leader for our very deep and diverse group of receivers this season.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field?

I feel that my strongest trait on the field is my mental processing, football IQ, and leadership. I have an ability to read defenses well and diagnose what defense they are playing, I am able to look for openings in our play before it happens, and I am able to help my teammates with plays and their assignments throughout games and practices.

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that I am a positive leader, a respectful person, a great student, and a fierce competitor. I will put the team first and do anything the program needs me to, in order to help them achieve success.

What game are looking the most forward to this upcoming season?

I am most looking forward to the opening week of the season, where we host Prospect. We lost our opening game to them last season and it is not something we are looking to do again.

Give me some St. Viator players poised for a beakout season?

On our varsity team, I believe Daniel Niesman, Lucas Barisas, and Jeremiah Pittman are all poised for breakout seasons. Daniel is a phenomenal athlete who is starting on varsity lacrosse right now. He will be an excellent piece in all facets of the game. Lucas, who started on defense last year as a sophomore, will also be part of our offense, which he did in our freshman year together. He continues to get stronger and faster which is crazy because he is already one of the fastest and strongest kids I’ve ever seen. Finally, Jeremiah will have a great season. He started on varsity as a freshman. Last season, he battled some injuries, so he was unable to play at full strength most of the year. He has battled back from them and worked incredibly hard this offseason. On the lower levels, watch out for Carson Eggebraten and my brother, Ryan, both of whom are believed to be seeing some varsity time as well.
