Zach Liska Naperville Central Class of 2020 DB 6'1 170

Zach Liska how was your 2018 season?

My 2018 season went well. I got to learn from one of the best defensive players in the conference Jack Jopes. It helped me improve throughout the season, having my strongest games at the end of the year against Cary-Grove, Plainfield South and Marist. Our season ended sooner than I wanted, but it is providing me motivation to improve for next year.

What did it mean to you to learn from Jack Jopes?

Jack took me under his wing at the beginning of the season. He was very successful his Junior year and watching how hard he worked, his leadership skills and they way he prepared for a game was very helpful. He was a great role model.

What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason to get yourself ready for the upcoming season?

I have been working on getting stronger, faster and increasing my weight. We have a great off-season workout program at Naperville Central and I have been working out at xTreme Speed in Plainfield.

What should college coaches know about you?

I love football. I am a hard worker. I am a team player. I want to be a great student/athlete. I want to compete to help my team win a championship.

What motivates a Zach Liska?

Being the best I can be, having fun and competing to win

What do you think is your strongest trait on the field?

I never give up on a play and I think it helps me give my best on the field.

Toughest WR you went up against last season?

The best WR I played against last year was Cade McDonald every day in practice. It was such a great opportunity to play against him everyday. He made me better and I think he was one of the best WR in the state last year. Very happy for him to be going to Michigan State next year.

Who is a underrated Naperville Central player that deserves the spotlight?

Sean Key. He is real good, has a motor that never stops and I love playing on the field with him.
